Aamir Bashir

Aamir Bashir is an Indian actor, film producer, and director. He gained recognition for his role in the thriller film A Wednesday, receiving a Screen Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Bashir was born and raised in Kashmir and is the son of a retired Chief Justice. He graduated from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. His career started with small roles in the TV series Bhanwar and various TV advertisements. His film debut was in Split Wide Open (1999) and he appeared in the telefilm Doordarshan Srinagar. In 2003, he acted in the film Armaan. He gained acclaim for his role as a police inspector in the 2008 thriller A Wednesday, earning him another Screen Awards nomination.
