Aasif Mandvi

Aasif Hakim Mandviwala, known as Aasif Mandvi, is a British-American actor, comedian, and author. Born on March 5, 1966, in Bombay, India, Mandvi's family moved to England when he was young. He attended Woodhouse Grove School and later pursued a career in acting. Mandvi gained recognition as a correspondent on The Daily Show from 2006 to 2017. He has also appeared in various television shows including the HBO comedy series The Brink and the CBS/Paramount+ drama Evil. In film, Mandvi played notable roles such as Mr. Aziz in Spider-Man 2 and Commander Zhao in The Last Airbender. Additionally, he has showcased his talent on Broadway, notably portraying Ali Hakim in Oklahoma! and appearing in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Disgraced (2012).
