Abby Damen

Abby Damen (born 1992) is a New Zealand actress and writer. She gained recognition for her roles in the television series Girl vs. Boy and Reservoir Hill. In 2014, Damen's talent was acknowledged when she won the award for Best Actress in the 48 Hour Film Festival. Apart from her acting career, Damen also delved into other ventures. In 2015, she launched 'Saving 2050,' a recipe-sharing website that focused on vegetarian recipes for environmentally-conscious individuals. The site aimed to promote animal-friendly eating due to Damen's personal journey in reducing meat consumption after being diagnosed with endometriosis. Additionally, Damen co-founded Shut Up and Dance, a community dance class in Wellington, in 2017, along with Lesa MacLeod Whiting.
