Abhishek Chatterjee

Abhishek Chatterjee (30 April 1964 – 24 March 2022) was an Indian actor known for his work in Bengali cinema. He made his big screen debut with the Bengali film Pathbhola (1986), directed by Tarun Majumdar, alongside veterans such as Sandhya Roy and Prosenjit Chatterjee. Some of his notable works include Lathi (1996), Bakul Priya, Pabitra Papi, Sajoni Aamar Sohag, and Chaowa Pawa. Chatterjee graduated from Seth Anandram Jaipuria College of the University of Calcutta, after completing his secondary schooling at Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School. He passed away at the age of 57 due to a heart attack at his house in Kolkata, leaving behind his wife and daughter.
