Ace Frehley, born Paul Daniel Frehley on April 27, 1951, is an American musician and actor. He gained worldwide fame as the original lead guitarist and co-founding member of the hard rock band Kiss. Frehley introduced the persona of The Spaceman, also known as Space Ace, and played with Kiss from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982. Following his time with Kiss, he formed his own band called Frehley's Comet and released two albums. He later embarked on a successful solo career and rejoined Kiss for a reunion tour in 1996. Frehley's contributions to music have been recognized, with Guitar World magazine ranking him as the 14th Greatest Metal Guitarist of All Time.
