Acid Betty, born Jamin Ruhren on December 10, 1977, is an American drag queen, performer, actor, and singer. He gained national recognition after participating in the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2016. Acid Betty's interest in drag began at a young age when he first experimented with his sister's cheerleader pompoms as makeshift hair and breasts. At the age of 17, he visited his first drag club and was inspired by Raja's performance. Notably, Acid Betty appeared as a guest on an episode of Project Runway in 2008.
