Adam Schiff

Adam Schiff is an American lawyer, author, and politician who has been serving as a U.S. representative from California since 2001. He is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as a member of the California State Senate from 1996 to 2000. Schiff graduated from Stanford University and Harvard Law School. Prior to his political career, he worked as an Assistant United States Attorney, where he successfully prosecuted Soviet spy Richard Miller in 1993. Schiff represents California's 30th congressional district, which includes Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, and various Los Angeles neighborhoods. He chaired the House Intelligence Committee from 2019 to 2023 and is currently on leave from the House Appropriations Committee, which he joined in 2007.
