Adam West, born William West Anderson on September 19, 1928, in Walla Walla, Washington, was an American actor known for his portrayal of Batman in the 1960s ABC series and its theatrical feature film. He began his acting career in the 1950s, appearing in films such as Geronimo and The Outlaws Is Coming. West also had roles in Robinson Crusoe on Mars and provided voice work for The Fairly OddParents, The Simpsons, and Family Guy. Throughout his career, he played fictionalized versions of himself in these animated shows. West passed away on June 9, 2017.
