Addison Powell (February 23, 1921 – November 8, 2010) was an American actor known for his work in television, stage, and film. He appeared in popular TV shows such as Dark Shadows, where he played the role of Dr. Eric Lang, a mad scientist who created Adam. Powell's film credits include The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), In the French Style (1963), and The Mating Game (1959). He was born in Belmont, Massachusetts in 1921 and received a bachelor's degree from Boston University. During World War II, Powell served as a navigator in the U.S. Army Air Force, flying over 30 combat missions. After the war, he earned a second degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1948.
