Adele Longmire

Adele Longmire (June 27, 1918 - January 15, 2008) was an American actress from New Orleans, Louisiana. She started her acting career with small roles in productions at St. Joseph's Academy convent school. After graduating, Longmire worked as a stenographer while also acting at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre in New Orleans. She gained attention from the casting team of Gone with the Wind, who were searching for actresses through Little Theater groups and drama departments. Longmire was selected for a screen test and eventually signed with Selznick International Pictures. She had a successful acting career, appearing in various films and TV shows.
