Adi Shankar Biography
Aditya Shankar, born on January 8, 1985, is an American film producer, screenwriter, film director, television program creator, television showrunner, and occasional actor. He gained recognition for his work on notable projects such as Dredd and Castlevania. Shankar is also known for his 'Bootleg Universe' One-Shot series, a collection of unauthorized pop culture satire films. He holds the distinction of being the youngest producer to have a number one film at the North American box office with The Grey. In addition, he co-founded the production company 1984 Private Defense Contractors. Shankar was born in Kolkata, India, and spent his formative years in various cities around the world. He studied communications, business, and theater at Northwestern University and graduated in June 2007. Some of his notable Bootleg satires include The Punisher: Dirty Laundry, Venom: Truth in Journalism, and Power/Rangers.
