Adrian Dunbar

Adrian Dunbar (born 1 August 1958) is an Irish actor, director, and singer. He gained recognition for his work in both television and theatre. Dunbar co-wrote and starred in the BAFTA-nominated film Hear My Song in 1991. He is best known for his role as Superintendent Ted Hastings in BBC Television's Line of Duty, appearing in all six series from 2012 to 2021. Dunbar has also appeared in various TV shows including The Jump, Ashes to Ashes, The Hollow Crown, and Broken. In 2022, he took on the lead role of DI Ridley in the police procedural crime series Ridley, where he also served as an associate producer. Born and raised in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Dunbar attended St Joseph's College before studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He has made notable appearances in films like My Left Foot and The Crying Game.
