Adrianne Lenker

Adrianne Elizabeth Lenker (born July 9, 1991) is an American musician known for her role as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and principal songwriter of the band Big Thief. Born in Indianapolis, Lenker grew up primarily in Minnesota, where she began writing songs at the age of eight. She recorded her first album at 13 and achieved success at a young age. Besides music, Lenker also had a passion for martial arts and was a state karate champion for three consecutive years. She received her GED at 16 and later attended the Berklee College of Music on a scholarship. Lenker's talent and unique style have earned her recognition in the indie music scene.
