Aida Osman
Aida Osman (born 1996) is an American writer, stand-up comedian, and actor. She is known for her work as a former co-host of the podcast, Keep It, as well as her writing contributions to Big Mouth, Betty, and the HBO Max series Rap Sh!t, where she also co-stars. Osman, who was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, is of Ethiopian Jewish and Eritrean Muslim heritage. Growing up in a predominantly white city, she and her brother were the only Black children at their school. Osman pursued her passion for entertainment from a young age, training in dance, playing in the orchestra, and participating in musical theatre. After graduating from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a degree in philosophy, she deferred law school to pursue comedy. Osman began performing stand-up in Nebraska before relocating to New York City.
