Aimee Mullins

Aimee Mullins is an American athlete, actress, and public speaker. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, she was born with a medical condition that led to the amputation of both her legs below the knee. Despite this, Mullins became the first amputee to compete against able-bodied athletes in National Collegiate Athletic Association events and participated in the Paralympics in 1996. In 1999, she ventured into modeling, and later pursued an acting career in 2002. Mullins has also shared her inspirational story as a speaker, including giving talks at TED. She has defied expectations and become a trailblazer, excelling in various fields and showcasing her resilience and determination.
