Ainsley Harriott, born on February 28, 1957, is an English chef and television presenter. He gained fame through his cooking game shows 'Can't Cook, Won't Cook' and 'Ready Steady Cook' on BBC. Harriott was born in Paddington, London to Peppy and Chester Leroy Harriott, a pianist and singer. With a Jamaican heritage, he attended Wandsworth Comprehensive School and trained at Westminster Kingsway College. Harriott's talents extend beyond cooking, as he is also skilled in comedy and singing. He formed the Calypso Twins with his school friend and released a hit record called 'World Party'. In addition, Harriott served as the head chef at the Long Room of Lord's Cricket Ground before transitioning into television presenting.
