Al Strobel

Al Strobel (1940-2022) was an American actor best known for his role as Phillip Michael Gerard, aka Mike, on David Lynch and Mark Frost's Twin Peaks. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Strobel suffered a car accident at the age of 17, resulting in the loss of his left arm. In the early 1970s, he pursued theatrical work at the University of Oregon and co-founded the Church of the Creative. Strobel appeared in numerous local productions in Eugene, Oregon, and produced a television adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Swansong. He gained fame through his role in Twin Peaks, which he secured without auditioning.
