Born on May 9, 1934, in Leeds, Bennett attended Oxford University, where he studied history and performed with the Oxford Revue. After collaborating with Dudley Moore, Jonathan Miller, and Peter Cook in the satirical revue Beyond the Fringe, he gained fame and received a Special Tony Award. Bennett has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career, including two BAFTA Awards, four Laurence Olivier Awards, and two Tony Awards. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for his film The Madness of King George. Known for his dramatic monologues and stage plays, Bennett is regarded as a highly acclaimed figure in the entertainment industry.
