Alan Blumenfeld (born September 4, 1952) is an American character actor. He is best known for his role as Maury Parkman in NBC's TV series Heroes, where he played the telepath father of the character Matt Parkman. Blumenfeld has also appeared in other TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy, JAG, Gilmore Girls, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Without a Trace, and Judging Amy. In addition to his television work, he has appeared in movies such as The Ring, In Her Shoes, and Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. Blumenfeld is also known for his voice work in the cult video games Grim Fandango and Psychonauts. He currently lives in Los Angeles and continues to be active in theater, film, and television acting, as well as teaching acting at Pomona College in Claremont, CA.
