Alan Hudson is a retired English footballer who played as a midfielder for Arsenal, Chelsea, Stoke City, and the Seattle Sounders. He was born on June 21, 1951, and grew up near the King's Road in London. Despite initially being rejected by his childhood club, Fulham, Hudson signed schoolboy terms with Chelsea. He made his senior debut for Chelsea in February 1969. Hudson was known for his skill and flair, playing alongside other talented players such as Peter Osgood and Charlie Cooke. During the 1969-70 season, he established himself as Chelsea's creative playmaker, contributing to the team's 3rd place finish in the First Division.
