Alan Kim Biography
Alan Kim is an American child actor, born on April 23, 2012, in Chicago. He gained widespread recognition for his role in the acclaimed drama film Minari (2020), where he portrayed the character David Yi. Despite his young age, Kim's performance earned him a nomination for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Prior to his role in Minari, Kim had limited acting experience, having only appeared in an ad for Pottery Barn Kids. Fluent in Korean, Kim moved with his parents to Irvine, California. He holds a first-degree black belt in taekwondo. In addition to Minari, Kim has been cast in the upcoming projects Latchkey Kids and the second season of Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens.
