    Alan Paul Wichinsky, born on November 23, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, is a Grammy Award-winning singer and composer. He is best known as one of the founding members of the current incarnation of the vocal group The Manhattan Transfer. Paul started his professional career on Broadway at the young age of 12, appearing in the original cast of Oliver! He later returned to Broadway in the original cast of Grease, where he introduced the songs 'Beauty School Dropout' and 'Born to Hand Jive'. Apart from his work with The Manhattan Transfer, Paul released a solo CD titled Another Place in Time in 2004 and provided the singing voice for Dino Spumoni on the animated TV series Hey Arnold!
