Alba Rohrwacher Biography
Alba Caterina Rohrwacher (born 27 February 1979) is an Italian actress. She was born in Florence to a German father and an Italian mother. Rohrwacher studied medicine from the age of 17 to 21, but later moved to Rome to study acting at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Her first movie role was in 2004 in L'amore ritrovato. She has received several awards for her performances, including the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress in 2008 and Best Actress in 2009. Rohrwacher has worked with her sister, director Alice Rohrwacher, in the film The Wonders. She won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the 71st Venice International Film Festival in 2014.
