Alec McCowen Biography
Alec McCowen (26 May 1925 – 6 February 2017) was an English actor known for his work in both film and stage productions. Born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, McCowen attended The Skinners' School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He began his career in repertory theatre and toured India and Burma with the Entertainments National Service Association. McCowen made his London debut in 1950 at the Arts Theatre and went on to have a successful stage career. He also appeared in numerous films, including 'Frenzy' and 'The Age of Innocence'. McCowen's talent and versatility made him a respected figure in the acting industry.
