Alex Ellis

Alex Ellis is a Canadian racing driver from St. Catharines, Ontario. Born on September 25, 1991, Ellis began his racing career in 2005 at the age of 14, competing in go-karts. He achieved success in karting and went on to participate in the 1.2L Formula Vee series in Canada in 2008, winning the rookie championship despite missing the final three races due to other driving commitments in Europe. In 2009, Ellis became a BMW Junior Driver and moved to Formula BMW Americas, finishing sixth in points with a best finish of second at Road America. Ellis continued his racing career with funding from winning a driver shootout in 2010.
