Alex Gaumond

Alex Gaumond (born April 9, 1978) is a Canadian actor, singer, songwriter, and filmmaker. He is best known for his work in West End theatre. Gaumond has appeared in various notable stage productions, including playing Galileo in the Queen musical We Will Rock You, Emmett in the original London production of Legally Blonde, and Miss Trunchbull in the RSC's Matilda. He has also made appearances on television, playing the series regular gendarme Caron in the Channel 5 show The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Gaumond was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and later moved to the UK to study at Guildford School of Acting. He graduated with a 1st class BA (Hons) in 2000.
