Alex Karpovsky Biography
Alex Karpovsky (born September 23, 1975) is an American director, actor, screenwriter, producer, and film editor. He gained recognition for his role as Ray Ploshansky on the HBO comedy-drama series Girls and as Craig Petrosian on the Amazon Prime Video series Homecoming. Karpovsky grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, and holds a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a master's degree in visual ethnography from the University of Oxford. He made his directorial debut with The Hole Story, which earned him a spot in Filmmaker magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film. Karpovsky has directed episodes of TV shows, commercials, and music videos in addition to his feature-length films.
