Alex Meraz

Alex Meraz is an American actor, best known for his portrayal of werewolf Paul Lahote in the film New Moon. Born on January 10, 1985, in Mesa, Arizona, Meraz is of Purépecha descent. He attended the New School for the Arts and is a talented painter and illustrator. Meraz is skilled in various dance forms, including break-dancing, indigenous, and contemporary dancing. He is also accomplished in mixed martial arts, winning multiple tournaments in karate and Capoeira. Meraz made his debut in the film industry with a role as one of the Powhatan core warriors in The New World. He gained recognition when he was cast as Paul Lahote in New Moon. Additionally, he appeared in the TV show CSI: New York and played a Seal Team member in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.
