    Alex Paez (born July 25, 1963) is an American actor, musician and restaurateur. He began his career in 1971 appearing in various TV commercials. Paez received a Best Actor Emmy Award in 1979 for his performances in Unicorn Tales, a series of mini-musicals for NBC. He also received a nomination in the same category in 1980 for the NBC Special Treat presentation: 'NYC Too Far From Tampa Blues.' Paez has appeared in numerous TV shows, including the Garry Marshall pilot 'Kat Mandu' and CBS' 'Stone Pillow' opposite Lucille Ball. In 1987, he made his Broadway debut in Hal Prince's musical 'Roza.' Paez has also toured internationally, including playing the role of Ritchie Valens in the national tour of 'Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story.'
