Alex Pettyfer is a British actor and model, born on April 10, 1990. He gained recognition for his role as Alex Rider in the 2006 film version of Stormbreaker. Pettyfer has also appeared in advertising campaigns for Burberry and has starred in films such as I Am Number Four, Beastly, and Magic Mike. He portrayed the character Brody in the Netflix science fiction miniseries The I-Land. Born in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Pettyfer is the son of actors Lee Robinson and Richard Pettyfer. He was raised in Esher and Windsor, Berkshire. Pettyfer has a younger half-brother named James Ireland from his mother's remarriage to Michael J. Ireland, a retired builder and property developer.
