Alex Stevens Biography
Alex Poulos (January 6, 1936 – April 14, 2015) was an American actor and stunt performer. He gained recognition for his roles as the Werewolf on Dark Shadows and The Baker from Sesame Street. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Stevens began his acting career in a western theme park in New Jersey. He then appeared in Off-Broadway plays before making his debut on Dark Shadows. Stevens also made appearances on Sesame Street, starring in 'The Number Song' segments as the baker who frequently fell down the stairs while carrying desserts. Additionally, he had small roles in films including A Lovely Way to Die, Lady in Cement, Hercules in New York, The Groove Tube, and Scanners. As a stunt performer, he worked on projects like The Gumball Rally, Superman, Three Men and a Baby, and Goodfellas. Stevens passed away on April 14, 2015, at the age of 79 in New York City.
