Alexander David Turner (born January 6, 1986) is an English singer, musician, and songwriter. He is widely recognized as the frontman and principal songwriter of the rock band Arctic Monkeys. Turner co-founded the band at the age of 15 in Sheffield. Their debut album, 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' (2006), holds the record for the fastest-selling debut album in British history. Throughout their career, Arctic Monkeys have released seven studio albums, including 'AM' (2013) and 'Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino' (2018). Turner has also collaborated with Miles Kane on the side project 'The Last Shadow Puppets' and has pursued a solo career as well.
