Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Alexa Demie is an American actress and singer. She gained recognition for her role as Madeleine 'Maddy' Perez in the HBO teen drama series Euphoria. Demie made her feature film debut with a minor role in Brigsby Bear (2017) and went on to star in the coming-of-age film Mid90s (2018) and the drama film Waves (2019). In addition to her acting career, she has appeared in several music videos. Demie grew up in the neighborhood of Atwater Village, raised by her mother, Rose Mendez. She has spoken about her challenging upbringing and the lack of positive male figures in her life.
