Alexa Havins

Alexa Carole Havins (born November 16, 1980) is an American actress. She gained prominence in 2003 for originating the role of Babe Carey Chandler on the soap opera All My Children. Her portrayal of the flawed but good character earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2005 and recognition as part of one of the show's most popular soap opera pairings. Havins has also made guest appearances in various television shows and independent films. In 2011, she joined the main cast of Torchwood: Miracle Day, which aired on BBC Worldwide and Starz. Havins was born in Artesia, New Mexico, and raised in Chandler, Arizona. She attended Chandler High School and was nicknamed the 'Ice Maiden' due to her shyness.
