Alexander Jerome Gould (born May 4, 1994) is an American actor. He gained recognition for his role as the voice of the title character in the Pixar animated film Finding Nemo. Gould's notable television role was playing Shane Botwin on the Showtime drama series Weeds. Born in Los Angeles, California, Gould comes from a family involved in the entertainment industry, with his younger sisters also pursuing acting careers. He practices Judaism and was active in the Conservative Jewish youth group United Synagogue Youth. After completing his acting commitments, Gould took a gap year in Israel and later attended Clark University and Brandeis University, graduating with a dual major in philosophy and politics. Gould married Lieba Hall in 2018 and they reside in Los Angeles.
