Alexander Richard Ludwig is a Canadian actor and country musician. Born on May 7, 1992, in Vancouver, British Columbia, he began his career as a child actor and gained recognition as a teenager for his roles in films such as 'The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising' (2007) and 'Race to Witch Mountain' (2009). He is best known for his portrayal of Cato in 'The Hunger Games' (2012). Ludwig has also appeared in supporting roles in movies like 'Lone Survivor' (2013) and 'Bad Boys for Life' (2020). He starred as Björn Ironside in the History Channel series 'Vikings' (2014–2020) and currently has a lead role in the Starz drama series 'Heels' (2021-2023). In addition to his acting career, Ludwig released his debut album 'Highway 99' in August 2022. He was born to parents Sharlene and Harald Ludwig and has three younger siblings.
