Alexander Schubert

Alexander Schubert is a German composer known for his experimental and multimedia music. Born on July 13, 1979, in Bremen, he studied Bioinformatics in Leipzig before pursuing his interest in music. Schubert received a doctorate in multimedia composition from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, studying under Georg Hajdu and Manfred Stahnke. He currently teaches at the Musikhochschule Hamburg and directs the electronic studio at Musikhochschule Lübeck. Schubert has been a visiting lecturer at Darmstadt International Summer Courses and is a founding member of ensembles Decoder, Trnn, Schubert-Kettlitz-Schwerdt, and Ember. Additionally, he has explored experimental pop music through his solo project called Sinebag.
