Alfonso Ribeiro is an American actor, comedian, and television host. He was born on September 21, 1971. Ribeiro is widely recognized for his portrayal of Carlton Banks on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Alfonso Spears on the sitcom Silver Spoons. He also had a notable role as Maxwell Stanton on In the House. Ribeiro is currently the host of ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos, taking over from Tom Bergeron. He has hosted various other shows including Catch 21, Spell-Mageddon, and Dance 360. Ribeiro has also showcased his talent in theater, starring in the title role of the Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid. He won season 19 of Dancing with the Stars and has become a co-host on the show alongside Tyra Banks from season 31 onwards. Ribeiro will also be the main host of Dancing with the Stars starting from season 30, alongside co-host Julianne Hough.
