Algee Smith IV (born November 7, 1994) is an American actor and singer. He rose to fame for his portrayal of Ralph Tresvant in BET's The New Edition Story miniseries. Smith received critical acclaim for his role as Larry Reed in Kathryn Bigelow's film Detroit. He is also known for his role as Christopher 'Chris' McKay in the HBO drama series Euphoria. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, Smith started his acting career in Atlanta at the age of eight. With a musician father and a fashion designer mother, he was immersed in the arts from an early age.
