Alice Amter

Alice Amter (born May 11, 1966) is an English actress known for her roles in The Big Bang Theory and Hot in Cleveland. She was born as Alice Edwards and grew up in Handsworth, later moving to Edgbaston, Leamington Spa, and Rubery. Amter attended Milverton Junior and Infant School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in modern languages and international relations from the University of Wolverhampton. She has lived in France, Germany, Japan (where she taught English in the early 1990s), and the United States. Despite her notable role as 'Mrs. Koothrappali', Amter has no Indian ancestry.
