Alice Playten (August 28, 1947 – June 25, 2011) was an American actress known for her high-pitched, child-like voice. She began her career at a young age, making her Broadway debut in 1959 and went on to appear in numerous productions including Gypsy, Oliver!, and Hello, Dolly!. Playten was also active in off-Broadway productions such as The Last Sweet Days of Isaac and Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You. On screen, she appeared in films like Ladybug Ladybug, Who Killed Mary What's 'Er Name?, and Legend, where she portrayed the character of Blix and provided the voice for Gump. Playten's talent and distinctive voice made her a memorable presence in both theater and film.
