Alison Krauss
Alison Maria Krauss is an American bluegrass-country singer and fiddler. She entered the music industry at an early age, competing in local contests by the age of eight and recording for the first time at 14. Krauss signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and released her debut solo album in 1987. She joined Union Station in 1989 and has been performing with the group ever since. Krauss has released 14 albums and has appeared on numerous soundtracks, including the O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Cold Mountain soundtracks. She has won 27 Grammy Awards from 42 nominations, making her one of the most awarded artists in the history of the Grammys.
