Allan Rich Biography
Allan Rich (1926-2020) was an American character actor known for his extensive career in film, television, and theater. Beginning at the age of nine, Rich appeared in several Broadway productions before transitioning to screen acting. He made notable appearances in movies such as 'Serpico' (1973), 'Amistad' (1997), and 'Quiz Show' (1994). Rich was also involved in the distribution and publishing of Hollywood portraits by George Hurrell. He faced challenges during the 1950s Hollywood blacklist for alleged communist sympathies. Rich married Elaine in 1951 and had two children, Marian and David. He mentored Rene Russo and spent his final years as a resident at the Lillian Booth Actor's Home. Allan Rich passed away in 2020.
