    Aloe Blacc, born Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III on January 7, 1979, is an American singer-songwriter and rapper. He gained popularity with his singles 'I Need a Dollar' and 'The Man', which topped UK charts. Blacc also co-wrote and performed vocals on Avicii's hit 'Wake Me Up', which topped charts in 22 countries. Apart from his solo career, he is a member of the hip hop duo Emanon with record producer Exile. Blacc, born to Panamanian parents in Orange County, California, discovered his passion for music when he began playing the trumpet in third grade. This marked a turning point in his musical journey, leading to his success today.
