Alyssa Jayne Milano (born December 19, 1972) is an American actress, producer, activist, and former singer. She is best known for her roles in popular TV shows such as Who's the Boss?, Melrose Place, Charmed, My Name Is Earl, Mistresses, Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later, and Insatiable. Milano gained recognition as an activist for her involvement in the MeToo movement in October 2017. Born in Brooklyn, New York to a fashion designer and talent manager, Milano started her career at age seven with an audition for Annie, eventually becoming one of the four selected out of 1,500 girls. She has a brother named Cory and was raised Catholic on Staten Island.
