Amanda Clayton

Amanda Clayton is an American actress known for her role as Alex Montgomery in the prime time soap opera If Loving You Is Wrong. Born on October 24, 1981, in Johnston, Rhode Island, Clayton studied at the University of Rhode Island before moving to New York City to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in 2005. She made her film debut in 2006 and gained recognition for her supporting role in the independent film December Ends. Clayton's career includes guest starring roles in popular TV shows like The Mentalist and Rizzoli & Isles. In 2014, she was cast as a lead in the Oprah Winfrey Network soap opera, which ran for five seasons until 2020. She has also appeared in the biographical drama film Bleed For This.
