Amar'e Stoudemire
Amar'e Stoudemire (born November 16, 1982) is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He achieved recognition as the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2003 after being drafted by the Phoenix Suns as the ninth overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft. Throughout his career, Stoudemire made six appearances in the NBA All-Star Game and received five All-NBA Team selections, including one first-team selection in 2007. He played high school basketball in Orlando, Florida, and was honored with the title of Florida's Mr. Basketball. Stoudemire also dealt with chronic knee problems and underwent microfracture surgery on both knees. He most recently served as a player development assistant for the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA.
