Amerie Mi Marie Nicholson, known professionally as Amerie, is an American R&B singer. Born on January 12, 1980, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Amerie is best known for her 2005 hit single '1 Thing.' She has released four studio albums throughout her career, including 'All I Have' (2002), 'Touch' (2005), 'Because I Love It' (2007), and 'In Love & War' (2009). Amerie's father, Charles Rogers, is African American, and her mother, Mi Suk, is Korean. Due to her father's military career, Amerie lived in various locations, including South Korea, Alaska, Texas, Virginia, and Germany. She has a younger sister named Angela Rogers, who is currently her lawyer.
