Amin Bhatia is a Canadian-British recording artist, film, and television music score composer and producer. Born on July 10, 1961, in London, England, Bhatia gained recognition in 1981 when his compositions won the Roland Corporation International Synthesizer competition for two consecutive years. This achievement led to collaborations with renowned musicians like David Foster and Steve Porcaro, as well as a solo album titled 'The Interstellar Suite' on Capitol Records' Cinema label. Bhatia's compositions are characterized by their lush orchestral sound with contemporary influences. He initially created his music using analog keyboards and tape, combining and layering electronic parts to achieve a warm orchestral sound. Bhatia's talent in music and MIDI synthesizer programming also led him to work on projects such as John Woo's 'Once a Thief' and 'Iron Eagle II.'
