Amir El-Masry Biography
Amir El-Masry (أمير المصري) is an Egyptian-British actor known for his versatile performances. He gained recognition for his role in the film Limbo (2020), which earned him a Scottish BAFTA and a British Independent Film Award nomination. El-Masry was named a 2020 BAFTA Breakthrough Brit and a 2021 Screen International Star of Tomorrow. He made his debut in the Egyptian comedy Ramadan Mabrouk Abu El Alamein Hamouda (2008), winning the Best Movie Debut at the Egyptian Cinema Oscar Festival. Raised in Acton, West London, he attended Tower House School and the Harrodian School before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Sociology from Royal Holloway, University of London. He further honed his craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), graduating in 2013.
